Edukasi Pendidikan Agama Kristen Terhadap Peran Suami Istri Dalam Membangun Keluarga Yang Harmonis Di Era Kontemporer

Abstract

The family is the first institution in the world established directly by God, who blessed husband and wife to be fruitful and multiply, and to live in fellowship with Him while exercising dominion over other creatures on earth. In a Christian family, husband and wife each have their respective roles in building and creating a harmonious household. The husband serves as a prophet who proclaims God's Word to his family, as a priest who builds the altar for family worship and dedicates their lives to God, and as a king who provides for the physical needs of the family. Meanwhile, the wife's role in the family is to manage the household and educate the children, to love her husband and children, and to be a model of godliness. However, contemporary challenges such as technological advancements, cultural shifts, and modern lifestyles have affected the spiritual life of both husband and wife, weakening their roles in building a harmonious family. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, aimed at describing the roles and responsibilities of husband and wife within the family to create a Christian household that is harmonious and reflects the Kingdom of God on earth.
